What are we up to?

We have been busy, busy, busy! In case you hadn’t noticed, we’ve added a new set of classes on Saturday afternoon. Starting at noon, we’re hosting a JavaScript and Web technology class. This is a six week course, and the first run through will be free. However, as this JavaScript class is all ages, we’ll start charging a nominal fee when we start a second round of this class, seven weeks from now.

Our children’s programming classes will remain free. They’re still taking place on Saturday mornings at 10 AM, but we’ve apparently started to recieve more and more kids. As a result, we’re scrambling to find additional PC’s. We need to raise the funds to purchase a whle labs-worth of laptops, but unfortunately, that’s a secondary concern compared to rent right now. Still, our kids classes remain free, and we are looking at ways of expanding those classes so we can accomodate this influx of kids. We could use some additional Scratch teachers, and PC’s.

On 4/20, we’ll be hosting a family gaming party, with group games, board games, and a generally fun atmosphere at the Museum starting at 5 PM. Come down and play some Mario Party, Command and Conquer Red Alert on Playstation with mouse and link cable, and Ticket to Ride.

We’re making a lot of progress on the collection, as well. Our online collection page is not current, but we’ll be updating it before the end of the month, hopefully. Our collection has quintupled since that list was compiled…

We also have the 24-hour fundraising game play marathon coming up in two weekends. We’ll need your help to spread the word on that, and to help us complete the raising of $20,000 and beyond.
