A Global Game Jam will be taking place this weekend around the globe. Check out the official page here.
This is a 48-hour game development marathon based upon the theme “What would Peter Molyneux do?” We’re the East Bay location for the Game Jam, and here are th vitals if you want to participate.
First, join the Facebook event.
Second, join a team or form your own. There are many teams forming on the various Facebook pages for each location.
Third, show up! The MADE will be open for the Global Game Jam from 10 AM to midnight Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 1. We expect to be open Friday night at 7PM, as well.
Fourth, on the you arrive, we advise attendees to take BART, as we are only 3 blocks from BART. Get off at the 19th St. BART station, and exit through the 17th St. exit. We are on 16th between Jefferson and Martin Luther King. Walk west up 17th or 16th when you exit BART.
Fifth, ponder supporting us. We’ll be asking for a $10 donation at the door, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. We are a non-profit, and we teach kids to program for free. Your donations will keep those classes free.
And finally, sixth, make a game!
