An Overview of the Modern Metaverse

What is the Metaverse? The MADE Forum is hosting the XR Guild to discuss its conception and how it will affect us in the future to come.

Members of the XR Guild (a non-profit fostering ethical outcomes for XR and The Metaverse) will come together at the MADE in Oakland on March 7th to discuss modern XR, from humble beginnings in text-based MUDs and military simulations to the coming convergence with generative AI and all-day wearable glasses, combining ideas from Star Trek’s Holodeck, "Dennou Coil” anime, 3D games and beyond.
